About Us and Our Web Site
Hello! Welcome to our About Us page! My name is Wendy and my son's name is Chase. We would like to share with you a little bit about ourselves and how pa-dutch-travel.com got started.
I am a single mom who works hard to try to provide for us. We live in southern York county in a little town. A few years back I became ill and as the years passed things progressed and got worse. It became increasingly difficult to work and doing everyday tasks, until finally I was unable to work. So here I was stuck at home with a disability. So I started to try to look for things that I might be able to do at home. I needed something that would allow me the freedom to be able to take a break when I needed. Sometimes I am only up for an hour before I have to go lay down again because I am exhausted. I have a lot of muscle and joint pain so it can be very frustrating at times.
Well after searching and searching I thought about building a website. I figure my son and I could work on it together and possibly provide us with a small income, and I could use it to teach him more about computers. I homeschool him so I am always looking for opportunities that are unique and educational. Chase is like Thomas Edison and the traditional school setting just wasn't working out for him. He likes it, and I am really starting to see him blossom. He still gets plenty of socialization, I am make sure of that. He stays involved in the community by going to our church (which he loves), boy scouts, homeschool group, kids in the area, and frequent visits with friends and his cousins.
So that was it, we said let's do it! So here we are making our way slowly and surely. We are hoping to share our love of the Pa Dutch Country region. We love it here and wouldn't trade it for anywhere else. We want to be able to provide you with a travel guide written for real people by real people. So Hopefully you learned a little bit About Us.
